The Inauguration of Barack Obama

CHANGE "Yes We can" Tuesday, January 20th, 2009. The Inauguration of Barack Obama. The first African-American president of America. He made history by being the 44th president of the United States of America. This is the day when America and the rest of the world rejoices. The Inauguration of this president means everything from new government, new leaders, and a lot to the rest of the world and Americans. This also means new policies. Things will change in America, Canada and the rest of the world with Barack Obama as the president by his new leadership skills, laws and how he handles things. He is very inspirational because he is the first black president. He gives hope to people because he did something that people never thought would be possible."That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet." In his speech, he explains the crisis happening in America and how he can help CHANGE the problems that needs help and will be met. As i was watching this, I found it very interesting and it made me aware of the situations happening in America. His speech gave hope to the Americans due to the previous president. Americans seemed to be in a state of grief and it seemed as though there was no hope. Barack Obama is currently trying to break the mold and is creating new plans in order to bring the world into a state of order, despite the mass amount of chaos presently in our world.
